Week of January 16

Week of January 16

This Week

On Campus:

Coming up on Monday, we have our first Jewish Conversation of the semester!  And, with the roll-out of the new semester we also have a new web presence which will be a great resource:
On the site, please find the dates for the semester, a PDF of our calendar for the semester, and the PDF of the reading of the Conversations as they become available.

So, Monday, January 23 from 12-1  in the Brown-Alley Room, we will have Jewish Conversations: Storytelling the Exodus facilitated by Kim Catley.  Coffee service will be provided!
Also, please let other colleagues know about this… and while the content of the sessions might be Jewish, ALL participants are welcome to join the conversation!

On Campus:

Budrus: Film Screening and Community Discussion
Budrus tells the story of a Palestinian community organizer, Ayed Morrar, who unites members of all factions along with Israeli supporters in an nonviolent movement to save his village of Budrus from destruction by Israel's Separation Barrier. Success looks improbable until his 15-year-old daughter, Iltezam, launches a women's contingent that quickly moves to the front lines.
