Week of August 27

Shalom y'all!

Welcome back! We hope you enjoyed your first day of class.

This year we have two awesome ways of keeping you in the loop. We'll be sending out weekly emails with blurbs about upcoming events. We will also be keeping this blog. The blog includes details about upcoming events, contact information for local synagogues and Jewish organizations, a Jewish holiday calendar, and weekly Jewish jokes. We will also have spontaneous guest columns from our resident Rabbi called Rabbi's Corner. The email and blog will include upcoming JLSA events as well as events for Network JCFR and J-Town, young Jewish adult groups in Richmond.

Visit the blog here at http://www.richmondjlsa.blogspot.com! (If nothing else, go look at the jokes!)

Let me introduce you to our board. Please feel free to contact any of us with ideas, questions, introductions, etc. We would love to hear from you! Also if you would like to run for a board position, let Alison know.

Welcome Back!

Shalom y'all!

It's the beginning of a new school year and we are so excited to see everyone really soon! We have been working hard to come up with some really special events for JLSA this year.

The theme for this year is partnership. We will be partnering with other Jewish organizations in Richmond for social outings, community service events, and religious opportunities. We will be working with a variety of campus organizations to put on a Religion and Politics forum before the November elections. And we will be working with each other to make academic year 2012-2013 really special!

Let me introduce you to our board. Please feel free to contact any of us with ideas, questions, introductions, etc. We would love to hear from you!
